Ok, the heading may come across a little hostile. I don't want to scare you. I am just trying to let you know that you, yes you sat reading this blog post can make money online. All it takes is hard work, determination and the ability to write blog posts.
So Where To Begin
It's no secret people have been making money online creating websites and writing blog posts since pretty much the dawn of the internet. Back in the old days people used to make what was known as landing pages, you may remember them, they were an ugly webpage, just the one page. Filled with a large amount of text and then a link at the bottom for a product that you would want to purchase.
Now in the old days you could throw up 100's of these rank quickly and make some quick cash before the fad of this useless product you were trying to sell would die out. Well let me tell you a lot has changed since then in regards to ranking websites but the idea of creating blogs and webpages still is there.
So this is where you are going to being you are going to create your very own blog!

When most people hear the word "blog" they assume it's going to cost them money. Well in todays day this is not true, it won't cost you a dime to create your very own blog for free and start creating content. The two main blog sites you will want to choose from are below (both are free to use):
- Blogger - Blogspot (This blog was created using this)
- Wordpress (offers a paid version with more upgrades and tools to use)
Both of the two sites above are free to use. There are plenty of more what is known as web2.0 sites you can use to create your own website/blog. But these are the two most common. Blogger is google and allows you to host ads via adsense if you have an account and wordpress is an amazing site and has more customization options.
To start with we are going to use the free option. No need to pay for a custom domain just yet. You want to learn the basics. This is trail and error you are going to learn a few things along the way.
If you want to go through the paid service. I personally go with Namecheap as they allow you to pay per month and allows you to install wordpress. But like I said to make money online you do not need to pay upfront. It will help you in the long run if you want an authority domain (let's say professional website for now).
So I have A Free Website Now What
Wait, wait slow down. First we need to find out what "niche" you want to target. You might be confused by the name or perhaps seen it before. The word niche refers to the target category you are aimed out. So for example your niche might be "health and fitness", "business", "gaming" etc.
As this is your first website it's best to write about something you might have some knowledge in or at least are interested in. If you are not interested in the niche chances are you will lose all interest and shelve the idea.
So got that niche in mind? Thought of a great name? great! Now go create that free website... name taken? sure it is be experimental domain name isn't the most important thing in the world just make it rememberable, kind of on topic and not too long!
Websites Live Good to Go!
Great now your website is live, you have your domain name. Played around with a few settings and it looks great right? Well maybe not it's your first site after all it's a real learning curve. Don't mess around with the semantics as long as it's ready to go. We can begin.
Now we want to start off with a few posts to your website, to welcome your new guests. I would recommend 5 niche specific posts. So get writing them! once you have finished them share them around social media get a few likes.
Once this is all done pat yourself on the back. You have successfully created your first fully working website. Oh by the way this is a long journey not something you are going to make money from over night. This is the ground work. Keep writing posts, relevant articles to your niche, start sharing them all around the internet, tell everyone about. Once it starts getting views we are good to go.
You can monetize your website through affiliate links or ads. I will go into more detail about these at a later date!
